Bullet in Vallejo, CA

Bullet is an active and healthy 12yo who doesn’t show any signs of slowing down yet he enjoys his naps. He has been good with the Spinone mix female in his home but he is not a fan of cats. He can be very forward when meeting new dogs but that’s from excitement. Bullet is crate, house and about 80% leash trained (he’ll initially pull from excitement). Bullet needs a new home due to a housing issue so he needs a new spot by 6/30. If you can open your heart and home to this great older guy (even on a temporary basis), please let us know. If your information is not yet on file, please complete our application so that we can get to know you better. Thank you! ~Suz

Elvin in Alameda, CA – ADOPTED!

Elvin
Elvin was a stray who arrived with lacerations on his face, body and legs. He has recovered nicely so he is now ready for his forever home.  Elvin is a precious guy who is great with most dogs – he is simply indifferent to them. He’s a mellow guy who loves napping and spending time by your time. He’s been wonderful with the resident female Bull Terrier in his foster home. This precious guy is about 4-5 years old and about 45lbs; he is crate, leash and house trained.  If your information is not yet on file, please complete our application which can be found here: http://www.bullterrierrescue.org/?page_id=572.

Owen in Encino, CA – Mini

Owen
Owen is a Miniature Bull Terrier who was found in the L.A. streets with severe mange. He has recovered from that and is ready for his new home. Owen’s a very interesting young man – he seems to have a doggy form of agoraphobia in which he almost panics in wide open spaces.  He doesn’t get aggressive, he just wants to escape or run behind you. A home where he explore the world in incremental slices would be his ideal spot. He can be good with dogs on a short-term basis as long as the introduction is slow and careful.  This 35lb guy is house, crate and leash trained. He is so eager to please – – he has learned tricks such as “Roll Over” and “Play Dead” when shot with your fingers.  His PLL (Primary Lens Luxation) status is Clear.  Information about this condition that affects some Miniature Bull Terriers can be found here: http://www.aht.org.uk/cms-display/genetics_pll.html. If your information is not yet on file, please complete our application which can be found here: http://www.bullterrierrescue.org/?page_id=572.

Oscar in San Francisco, CA

Oscar
Oscar is a very sweet guy who just wants to please you.  He is about 3-4 years old; and he weighs about 50lbs. This affectionate guy loves to crawl on your lap for cuddles and laps. He is such a happy guy – he loves to bark at people during his walks but only to invite them over for them to pet him. He has been good with meeting our female dogs and he is polite with dogs during our walks. In his former home, he has bitten two bull dogs – even though the bites were minor, he is not to return to the city of Oakland. Oscar is crate, leash and house trained.  If your information is not yet on file, please complete our application which can be found here: http://www.bullterrierrescue.org/?page_id=572.

Chico in San Francisco, CA – Deaf

Chico
Chico is a very loving and affectionate 3-4yo guy.  He is deaf but you’d never know it as he is so attentive and eager to please. This 55lb guy is mellow but will need an experienced handler due to his deafness and high prey drive. He has learned basic manners but will need continued training on how not to take treats like a bear trap. Dear Chico is crate, house and leash trained (on his walks, he loves to sit for treats after he poops). If your information is not yet on file, please complete our application which can be found here: http://www.bullterrierrescue.org/?page_id=572.

Trace in Porterville, CA – ADOPTED!

TraceSmileName TraceDrainsNameOur heartstrings were pulled in a major way when the shelter called us about Trace who is about 7-8 years old – he was not walking and was so depressed. We rescued this sweet guy and after vetting, antibiotics, surgery to remove abscesses on one of his front legs, and a wonderful diet from his foster mom, he is good as new!  He is great with other dogs and finds horses interesting in a good way.  His energy level is pretty low and he is one of most affectionate guys you’ll ever meet. Do you have a spot for this wonderful 45lb guy to hang his hat?

Bentley in San Francisco, CA

BentleyCuteNameBentley is a 2yo guy who wandered into a ranch in Prunedale, CA and made friends with the resident cattle.  We rescued Bentley from the shelter after he recovered from pneumonia. This 50lb guy is good with dogs but unknown with the kitties.  Bentley is crate and leash trained; he keeps his crate clean so we believe that he is house trained.  Does anyone have room in their hearts and home for this sweet and affectionate guy?

Rocky in Sebastopol, CA – ADOPTED!

RockySmileNameRocky became homeless when the mobile home park his family was living on closed. This 15mo guy is super sweet and so people-focused.  He hasn’t been taught any manners but he should learn them quickly as he is so eager to please. Rocky is being crate trained at our interim boarding kennel and he’ll some house training as he lived outside or in the garage in his former home.  He was wonderful with the three toddlers in his former family but his energetic antics might accidentally knock down the little ones.  Although he did not live with other dogs, he was good with the ones in the mobile home park.  We do not know how this 45lb guy is with the kitties.

Stubby – Livermore, CA – In Foster-to-Adopt Home

StubbyMeet Stubby!  He is a young and fun Miniature Bull Terrier who is looking for a foster home!  He liked to chase his tail; but he hasn’t done since we had him sport a snug teeshirt.   Stubby is hanging out at a Livermore kennel since we are packed to the rafters everywhere.  If you have room for a 1-2 year old guy who might require a bit of patience if he starts chasing his tail, Stubby would sure appreciate it.  He’s only 30lbs so he promises not to take up much room! His PLL status: CLEAR.
